Hi! I’m Kayla Marie Gomez—a 25-year-old Pisces from the heart of Texas who lives for books, balanced lineups, and a good plot twist. I cheer on Austin FC with my husband, Erick—usually from the comfort of our couch (loop earbuds are the real MVP when the crowd roars).

This March I stepped through the publishing portal with my debut novel, The Dark Side of Wonderland, and in June its sequel, Through the Veil, followed close behind. Together they deliver rebel witches, haunted princes, and slow-burn romance—my favorite ingredients for a page-turning escape.

My creative process is powered by iced coffee and overseen by three feline “editors”:

• Rae Rae (14) – the seasoned critic napping on marked-up drafts

• Oshie (8) – the mid-draft motivator meowing for snack breaks

• Chopper (2) – the chaos gremlin who deletes paragraphs with a single keyboard sprint
